Already Gunter is generating interest from Serie A clubs with AC Milan considering him as cover for Mattia Caldara but Spurs are set to rival them as they look for additional defensive stars, according to CalcioMercato.The future of Toby Alderweireld remains uncertain and while manager Mauricio Pochettino appears to have faith in Davinson Sanchez andArgentinian starlet Juan Foyth, he may want to make an additional signing if the Belgian leaves. And according to Fanatik, Spurs have struck a deal in principle for a fee worth 15million.Gunter was on the books at Borussia Dortmund as a youngster and made one appearance for the first-team before leaving for Turkey in 2014.
