The Dunboyne man suffered a bleed on his brain after impact injuries to his head, and he required emergency surgery.Mr Cox spent months receiving specialist neurological care at Dublins Beaumont Hospital, before being transferred to a rehabilitation centre.He is now set to leave hospital for the first time in almost a year to attend Dublin’s Aviva Stadium on Friday, April 14. A Liverpool Legends XI take on an Irish Legends XI in a charity match in aid of the Sean Cox Rehabilitation Trust, and Mr Cox is in line to be at the match.Stephen Felle, a close fried of Mr Cox, told Newstalk Breakfast: “Were delighted to say that Sean is going to be there in person.“Its going to be Sean Coxs first move outside a medical environment in almost 12 months, so its very special for the family, and its very emotional for [his wife] Martina.The Sean Cox Rehabilitation Trust was set-up to help fund Mr Cox’s treatment3
