Mick Foley accepts Billy Sharp’s invite to watch Sheffield United and will have special show at Bramall Lane the next night
It started with a random Mr. Socko celebration prior to the WWE’s Royal Rumble last month, but now it has spawned a two-day event for Mick Foley.Billy Sharp made waves on social media after celebrating a goal against Norwich back on January 26 with Mankind’s patented Mr. Socko. For those of you that don’t know, Mr. Socko was a dirty sock Mick Foley would use when portraying Mankind in the WWE and he would stick in the mouths of his opponents as his finisher.Mr. Socko was a cult legend back in the late 1990s and Sharp’s random homage to Foley caught the WWE Hall of Famer’s attention. After a little back and forth on Twitter, Sharp invited Foley to attend a Sheffield United game and it seems that Foley has chosen Brentford on March 12.Interestingly, Foley has also arranged to host An Audience With Mick Foley the very next night at Bramall Lane.Foley is well-known for bearing all up on stage during his post-WWE career and if you have seen any of his routines on the WWE Network, you’ll know you’re in for a good time.WWE legend Mick Foley thanked Billy Sharp1

Foley is a three-time WWE champion and is famous for, amongst many other reasons, being thrown from the top of the Hell in a Cell structure by The Undertaker.Sharp himself has gone from strength to strength since donning Mr. Socko and bagged a hat-trick last Friday night against Aston Villa. He’s the top goalscorer in the English second-tier with 22 goals.
