Tottenham’s new stadium is nearing completion
Crystal Palace were earmarked as the first visitors to the stadium, though their visit to Spurs towards the end of March has been postponed due to the Eagles’ reaching the FA Cup quarter-finals.This leaves Brighton as the potential debut opponents, though that April match could also be rearranged if the Seagulls get past Millwall to reach the FA Cup semi-finals – which are being played the same weekend as their trip to Spurs.Nonetheless, Tottenham reportedly hope to move into their new stadium before their next home match, and fans believe the club may finally have called Wembley home for the final time. And as the official opening draws ever closer, some amazing new footage of the stadium has been filmed and shared on YouTube by user ‘Mr Av‘.The video, filmed on March 2, is a 360-degree bid’s-eye view which shows the veil has finally been completed, while the outer LED screens are also shown being tested in footage taken a few days earlier. You can watch the video, in full, below…Tottenham have already invited groups of fans into the new stadium, but it cannot be officially opened until a safety certificate is awarded upon the completion of two test events of increasing capacity.Spurs hope to have these two events completed before the end of the month.
